I converted a DC engine and dummy to work on battery power. I followed a fellow users design with 3 3.7v lithium batteries. I added a battery management chip and 12v plug to easily connect and disconnect power. If anyone has suggestions or comments I would love to hear!

It took a minute, actually several, looking at the photo to understand that the battery pack, BMS and charge plug are sitting on the table top and the frame of the second unit is on the 2×4 attached to the first. Got it now.
Fun stuff, isn’t it. It opens up so many possibilities with no track hassles.
