Forum admins asked if I could post some information about my track wiring for my small layout where I run both DC and LocoFi trains.

I have a 2-Cab system with 8 power blocks (2 are for yards). I have 3 different DC transformers and a 12 volt clean power supply for LocoFi. I have two transformers on Cab A and then the 12 Volt pack and another DC Transformer on Cab B, so I can select one from each side. The layout is small (4×8) so managing multiple trains across blocks is a challenge (less so with LocoFI when the 12Volt power is enabled on all blocks!!). I can also run DCC trains with an MRC Tech 6 dual mode transformer that is connected as one of the options on Cab A.

Best info I could pull from my files:

Thank you so much for sharing this information Steven!

All, This is a great example of running LocoFi alongside not only DC but also DCC! Here’s glimpse of trains running on Steven’s layout.
