I just posted a 9th YouTube video featuring LocoFi™ in a Dead Rail/Battery on Board operation.

The 9th Video is Titled:

Making and Using a Portable Dead Rail Demonstration HO Layout – Part 9

Part 9 Includes:

Replacing “hard wiring” between the locomotives and battery cars with MicroMark Micro Connectors (Review and Installation Tips for the MicroMark 32-Pin Micro Connector), How the Momentum/Inertia function of the LocoFi™ works, and More updates to my Website “A Journey Into HO Scale Model Railroading in the 21st Century.

Near the end of the informational video, there are two short video clips showing the use of the Momentum/Inertia feature of the LocoFi™ system and then the running of two locomotives now equipped with the MicroMark Micro Connectors.

My Webpage has a lot more information on these and related topics.

It is titled, “A Journey Into HO Scale Model Railroading in the 21st Century”.

The page has been, once again, massively updated and contains information that is NOT in any of the YouTube videos.

It also contains information that has been garnered since the original videos were posted, including several corrections and updates.

Another great information video! Thank you.

Looking at connectors you used, did you consider something like https://www.amazon.com/DEPEPE-2-54mm-Headers-Arduino-Prototype/dp/B074HVBTZ4?

The pin size is the same; 2.54mm or 0.10 inches. Those headers are considerably less expensive, but they don’t appear to have the nice grooves for cutting them into single connectors that the MicroMark’s have. Still interesting though. Thanks for pointing them out.

@Ken Myers

Right. The female headers don’t have the grooves.
